Originally from Wyrmrest Accord, the Sha'tor was established on September 26, 2014, two months prior to the release of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Soon enough, members of the draenei roleplay community, both novice and veteran alike, began filing in, finding their place within a guild that focused on draenei culture and history.Nine years and a migration to Moon Guard later, the Sha'tor remains an active bastion of draenei roleplay, having established a reputation among both the general draenei community and overall roleplay community for its dedicated leadership, commitment to quality, and varied cast of characters that ultimately enrich the guild's story and contribute to its continued success.

guild ranks
The Sha'tori leadership is comprised of the EXARCH and his TRIUMVIRATE. The Exarch serves as the main leader of the order, carrying out the duty of leading and securing his people within the Alliance, as well as serving as the primary arbiter of intra-guild discipline and disputes. The Triumvirate are those selected by the Exarch to aid and advise him in his decisions, trusted due to their own unique, individual experiences and perspectives. Additionally, they serve as overseers of the Conclaves, leading them in conjunction with each other as well as the Exarch.Every new member that has undergone the application process begins at the rank of INITIATE. As an initiate, members are able to research which Conclave they wish to join. From there, depending on participation and/or notable deeds, members are offered the opportunity to advance to CRYSTALSWORN, OATHKEEPER, and ADEPT.The highest available rank for non-officer members is A'DOTA-KEI, which becomes obtainable to those who have consistently shown that they wish to improve the guild by way of suggestions to the officers and being helpful to other members. It is not a rank rewarded lightly; instead, it is intended to be a great honor to those who achieve it, and comes with its own set of responsibilities, both in-character and out-of-character.

ADVANCEMENT
The Initiate Trials will work to help integrate new members into the Order, and start them on a individual campaign through the ranks of the Sha'tor. Once a member has completed one of these Trials, they will become eligible for advancement to the Crystalsworn rank at the next Induction Ceremony they attend.01. | SCHEDULING & LEADERSHIP
The Trials will be set every other week, two a month. They may vary in size, depending on how many new recruits have joined the guild since the last. This Trial will be headed by the Exarch, one of the Triumvirate, or one of the A'dota-kei. This will be coordinated beforehand to see whose schedule allows the time. A new channel will be created to better facilitate organization and communication among participants.02. | THE TRIAL ITSELF
The Trial will be a small mission that mimics the Order's typical event style. Dice rolling and the combat system will be introduced and explained, giving the opportunity for questions before being thrown into a larger guild environment. We will have a list of missions to choose from that the Initiates feel they wish to do, OR the mission may tie-in to the current storyline as a way to get new Initiates caught up on what we're doing.03. | JOINING A CONCLAVE
Regardless of whether the Trials happen solo or with a group, we would like everyone to have the chance to flesh out their character within the guild setting. After the Trial, the new member will be asked to read up on the three different Conclaves of the Sha'tor, and make a decision by the next Induction Ceremony, where they will be promoted to Crystalsworn and the first rank of their Conclave. If, by chance, the website does not provide adequate information to make a decision, an IC or OOC meeting can be arranged with the Conclave leaders to help make the decision.
conclaves
After joining the Sha'tor and attaining the rank of Crystalsworn, initiates are given the option to join one of the three sub-orders that exist within the guild: the Conclaves of Light, Argus, or Shanai. The Conclaves offer an area of specialty to individual members, but are by no means insular, as the three work together frequently.Follow the links below to find out more about each of them.
guild policy
conduct
Our mission is to cultivate a guild environment that is comfortable for our members and allies, as well as to be respectable members of the server community as a whole. Therefore, the following rules are in place, and will be enforced.
✦ The Sha'tor houses a diverse population, particularly LGBTQ+ members, and strives to be a safe space for them. Bigotry toward and derogatory remarks about race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc. are prohibited in all guild spaces. This includes but is not limited to: OOC chat, the in-game community channel, and the guild Discord server. Additionally, please refrain from openly discussing religion or politics in all above channels.
✦ We are group comprised of adults that often utilize adult language, such as swearing and mild, comical innuendo. That said, unwarranted, sexually explicit language — especially when directed toward other members, or their characters — is not permitted.
✦ Members are expected to demonstrate respect and maturity in all interactions with the general public, primarily with regard to other guilds/roleplayers in-game, public chat channels, and the official Blizzard forums. This also extends to social media* such as Tumblr and Twitter/X, particularly if the guild's name is brought up or affiliation is otherwise known/discovered.
↳ * While we are not going to watch every single move our members make outside of the guild, if a known member is stirring up trouble and it is brought to the attention of the officers, we will not condone that behavior among our membership, nor permit it to be a reflection of how our guild is conducted.
✦ Respect the privacy and boundaries of others, both in and out of the guild. If someone expresses discomfort or asks you to leave, abide their request. Do not grief or otherwise disrupt the roleplay of others. Stalking and harassment of other players will not be tolerated, and will result in a ban and removal from the guild.
✦ Any conflicts between members are to be resolved in private, and/or if necessary, with officer intervention. All officers maintain an open door policy, and grievances will remain anonymous on the issuer's behalf, and/or beyond the parties involved.
activity
While we have never enforced a strict attendance policy, we do encourage a certain level of involvement in the guild. If you are online but consistently occupied elsewhere, not attending guild events, and/or not engaging with fellow members, it gives the impression that you are uninterested in being part of our community, and brings into question whether it's a good fit. That being said, we would prefer to avoid The Sha'tor becoming a place to dump draenei alts that will ultimately see little to no attention. We are by no means asking for you to change mains or abandon other character/guild commitments, but we do want to ensure the character you bring in will be active and involved with some regularity.Inactivity purges will occur periodically, usually once every 3-6 months. Characters that have not been active in that time (even if you have been online) will be asked about their continued interest in the guild. If no response is given, they will be removed. We understand that everyone has other priorities in both their offline and online worlds, and if desired, we can extend your membership for a month after the purge. It should also be noted that the guild will maintain a maximum of 50 unique accounts, and often closes off recruitment for long periods of time. This is by no means for the sake of "exclusivity" or "elitism," but rather to ensure the guild does not get too big, unwieldy, and impersonal.
roleplay
We recognize an individual’s agency in playing the game however they wish to enjoy it. However, for the comfort of the guild as a whole, there are a few rules to keep in mind:
✦ While ERP is not outright prohibited, we would nonetheless ask that you engage in such activity privately. This is out of respect for not only for adults who don't wish to see it, but particularly the minors that play the game. Make good choices, and be considerate toward others.
✦ As a lore-adherent guild, characters and storylines are expected to fit within the established canon lore of Warcraft. Guild campaign storylines will also align with canon and in-universe rules, to the best of the storyteller's ability.
✦ Those with "futa" or "F+" characters will not be permitted. These terms are widely known to border, if not completely step into, the territory of fetishizing transwomen and intersex people. As a queer-inclusive guild, such harmful concepts will not be tolerated.
discord
✦ Our Discord is organized into several sections, channels, and threads in order to accommodate a wide variety of subjects. It is recommended to keep conversational flow within the suggested topical areas so multiple subjects don’t overlap over each other. If a conversation begins to veer into another topic, take it to the appropriate channel.
✦ Sexually explicit content is prohibited.
✦ Please do not spam text channels. If you have much to say, collect your thoughts into a singular post instead of several small ones. There is a reply feature in Discord to go back to something that was said so that your comment can be relevant when you need it to be, as well as an edit feature to correct mistakes rather than repeatedly posting to fix them.
✦ Tone can be difficult to discern in text, and sometimes even in speech! It's advisable to operate under the base assumption that others speak with good intent. However, if something is unclear, a statement comes across as less than amicable, or things become tense, you are encouraged to ask for clarification, step away for a bit, or make amends in private. Should it become necessary, an officer can be requested to mediate.
✦ Be aware of other speakers — try not to speak over or interrupt each other. Also, please try to keep "thinking out loud" to a minimum; not every thought or observation needs to be shared! It can be jarring or otherwise obtrusive for some members.
✦ If you feel you are being talked over, do not hesitate to make others aware! Additionally, the server has a soundboard with an "I'd like to speak" audio clip that you may use.
✦ As a courtesy measure, push-to-talk should be the default voice chat setting, and is required until Crystalsworn rank is attained. If for some reason you are unable to utilize/activate PTT, please mute yourself when not speaking. Voice activity should only be used with consent of other members in the voice chat.
spoilers
Not everyone goes through new content at the same pace as others, or they are not interested in searching for information they know they'll get while questing. Because of this, we have a specific set of rules concerning spoilers. This primarily concerns World of Warcraft, but it is appreciated if other media/games are treated with these rules as well.
✦ Please exercise good judgment when discussing anything about current or future game content (patches, quests, lore, dungeons, etc.) when in general guild channels both in and out of game. If in doubt, drop it into the designated spoilers channel. If you wish to take it a step further, block off your post with Discord's spoiler tag feature.
✦ Allow a period of two weeks from the official, scheduled release of new content before discussing any kind of potential spoilers in OOC/general chat. PLEASE NOTE: Early access does not count as scheduled content release! Hang onto those spoilers a little longer!
✦ If you are someone avoiding spoilers, please be polite in asking others to refrain from discussing them. After the two week embargo, all members are permitted to talk freely about things in general chats. If you have still not seen the content for yourself and wish to remain spoiler-free, you are welcome to mute or leave channels as you see fit!

ai-generated images & text
The Sha'tor is home to many lovely artists. In respect of their work, we ask that both existing members and those who are interested in joining do not use AI-generated images for their characters until it becomes an ethical tool that does not steal the work of other artists without their consent, knowledge, or credit.Additionally, those who use tools such as ChatGPT to generate posts or profiles will be turned away. What is even the point of roleplaying if you aren't going to write your own stuff?
We reserve the right to change or add to these rules as needed.
raid etiquette
01. have fun
We know these kinds of rules are superfluous but we really mean it. Don’t worry about your numbers, or if you make a mistake, or figuring out what the top performing spec is, or what class to bring. Nonsense, all of it! Just have fun, play the class/spec/role you enjoy the most. Laugh at your mistakes. At our core we’re just a bunch of friends tackling PvE content, at our own pace. If you aren’t having fun, we’re not doing our jobs properly. Talk to us and we can make adjustments so that you are. Play what you want, not what you think we need. However, we can have only so many tanks and healers before it becomes detrimental to the raid as a whole. At the beginning of each tier we do raid sign ups. So if you are switching out of that role or want to switch into it, you will have to wait until the next tier for sign ups. I know that sucks for new people joining us mid tier who like playing a specific role, but we can't rearrange our team comp mid progression for every new person. Roles, mechanics, and gearing might be easy to adjust but team synergy takes time to build. If a spot opens up mid tier due to absence or a desired change from someone in that role, then it's a discussion we can have.
02. be kind
Another one of those common knowledge rules. We all come from different backgrounds, play styles, and levels of commitment/experience/knowledge of the game. Entreat each other with radical compassion. It’s the raid leader’s job to manage mistakes and expectations. We don’t need the raid ganging up on any individuals who may be having difficulties. Trust the raid leader to handle progression blocks, just worry about giving each other positive reinforcement and support. This rule also means being kind to yourself. Please don’t beat yourself up for any reason. We know that self-depreciation is popular with the kids these days but when progression gets frustrating we want to make sure we don’t get caught in a negative feedback loop. We want to keep the raid environment healthy, for our community and for ourselves.
03. teamwork makes the dream work
Raiding is a group effort. There are no MVPs; the lowest DPS is just as valuable as the highest DPS. We will progress because we are all working together, and that is the only way we progress. However, that's a double-edged sword. Our side of teamwork means doing our part to be ready for raid and helping each other out. Be on time. Meet the minimum item level requirements. Contribute materials for feasts and cauldrons. Pay attention to mechanics. Share loot. More hands make less work!
04. loot
Loot belongs to the person who won it. It is that person’s right to keep it for any reason, which can include but are not limited to: A. it’s an upgrade, B. it’s for an off-spec, C. it’s for transmog, D. it’s going to be auctioned or disenchanted. All reasons are valid and you do not need to justify keeping what you received. Please try not to ask someone for loot. The option to offer up loot will be presented at the end of each fight for people to roll on. If the piece of loot you wanted wasn’t offered up, assume it was spoken for. The priority for rolled-on loot is as follows:
Upgrades > Offspec > Transmog
05. voice chat
In addition to our standard voice chat rules we have a little more guidance during a raid. Everyone needs to be in voice chat. You don’t have to speak but you need to be able to listen to instructions and strategy. Please ensure push to talk is on. Chatter is acceptable but keep in mind that during pulls people are trying to listen out for mechanic call-outs.
06. gearing
The general expectation for gear is to meet a certain ilvl threshold for raid. This is largely to make sure we as a group are not overwhelmed by content. The ilvl threshold is set on a tier-by-tier basis and at the general advisement of the raid leader. The ilvl requirement is not a hard set-in-stone barrier of entry; we see it as more of a bell curve. As long as 70-80% of the raid is within certain parameters we’re happy. So if you had a busy work week and you didn’t quite get to do any dungeons, or the weekly? No sweat, friend — come along! You’ve been gone for a bit and you’re in last tier’s purples? Welcome back! We got you covered. Now if you’ve just hit max level on your alt and all you’re in is a bunch of leveling greens, maybe work on gearing them a bit more before bringing them to raid. That being said, we have an awesome community, so if you need help gearing up give a shout out in the Discord and I'm sure we can get a Mythic+ dungeon group going, or doing the weekly quests like Timewalking or PvP. Same goes if you need help figuring out what stats to prioritize, gems and enchants to use, etc. We trust you to know your spec, but if you don't, never hesitate to ask. Comments on other people’s gear are unnecessary and unwanted. Trust us, the raid leader knows, it’ll be fine.
07. attendance
Try to be on time. We understand work schedules and personal life are what they are, but we'd like to get started as close to raid time as possible. Don't worry if you are late, you can join in at any time. We do ask that our raiders try to be consistent with their roles, classes, and specs during progression. Once we have the raid on farm you're more than welcome to bring your alt (as long as it reaches the minimum ilvl requirements), and even try out a new role! If you absolutely must change classes or roles during progression it's on you to make sure your new raiding main's ilvl is equal to or greater than the character you are replacing. Finally, raids are open to all members of the Sha'tor. Friends can be invited with raid leader or officer permission as long as they respect our raid rules. Rules apply to everyone; even the raid leader, the officers, and any guests.
We reserve the right to change or add to these rules as needed.
restrictions
The Sha’tor is a Light-oriented Order. While this doesn’t mean that every member needs to wield the Light (e.g. shaman, warrior) or zealously revere it, members are expected to, at the very least, acknowledge the Light and everything it has done for the Draenei people. Velen’s prophecy of joining the Army of the Light is the goal of the Draenei, and has been for millennia. The Order leadership strives to continue to help the Prophet in his goals, as well as seeking their own purpose on Azeroth — preserving draenic society and providing a home for all draenei willing to uphold these goals with them. That said, there are some gray areas in the Sha’tor. This short guide will go over a few of them.
death knights
Referred to as "the Twiceborn" within draenei culture, death knights are a special case in the Sha’tor. Initially not allowed amid the order's ranks, we have since welcomed a select few Ebon Knights that have sworn their allegiance to the Draenei people, and opt to limit their dark teachings while under the banner of the Sha’tor. This means that death knights are ICly prohibited from using any necromantic magic (i.e. most abilities from the Unholy spec). Death knights are, however, permitted to use blood magic, so long as it is done without malice toward sentient beings and simply as a means to an end. Likewise, frost magic is permitted, and with the least restrictions between the three disciplines. Death knights have found these caveats to be both enjoyable to work around, and to see how far they can push their limitations.
shadow priests
The Void is the enemy of all living creatures, and shadow priests seek to use its power as a means of fighting fire with fire. Draenei have a special place in the world regarding shadow/void priests, as the naaru that have accompanied them through the millennia naturally fall to the void state as they die. To this end, draenei within the Sha’tor are permitted to use shadow/void magic, so long as it is done within the context of research into the naaru or just being attuned to the shadow from centuries of intergalactic travel. Shadow/void priests within the Sha’tor are prohibited from using any sort of Azerothian Old God-fueled magic, however. This magic is chaotic and tends to drive mortals insane by simply using it or uttering the words of Old Gods, so the Sha’tori leadership does not condone this type of shadow magic. Any shadow/void magic done that is deemed dangerous to other Order members will be dealt with swiftly.
warlocks
Warlocks have been a bane of living things since their inception by the Shadow Council. A discipline of magic without discipline, warlocks use the life of those around them — or their very own — to tap into untold and forbidden magic. To this end, despite some draenei beginning to delve into the practice, no warlock that uses fel magic will be permitted within the ranks of the Sha’tor, and anyone beginning to wield it after being admitted will be dismissed immediately. Only warlocks that choose to study the discipline or power their magic in other ways will be considered.
These are a case-by-case basis.
man'ari
Man’ari are eredar that were warped by the fel magic of Sargeras to serve him as the master of the Burning Legion. Many man’ari eredar served as commanders, generals, advisors and religious leaders. Despite this, after the defeat of the Burning Legion, a small sect of man’ari eredar recognized the error of their destructive choices. Vouched for by Chieftain Hatuun of the Darkfallen Krokul, Arza’kal (formerly and once again known as Arzaal) pleaded with Velen to allow his group of man’ari to prove themselves repentant. Out of respect for the Prophet Velen, the Sha’tor will permit man’ari that are truly repentant and wish to try to redeem themselves. However, we are not interested in morally gray, ambiguous, or combative characters.
These are a case-by-case basis.
non-draenei & horde races
The Sha'tor is, first and foremost, a draenei organization, and is affiliated with the Alliance. However, as time has progressed and the draenei have integrated into the Alliance (and the world of Azeroth itself) at large, its leadership has seen fit to open its doors to non-draenei individuals who are interested in upholding the Sha'tor's mission and values. These people are expected to serve as ambassadors for both their own people and the draenei, and readily work with all the intelligent races of Azeroth; as such, they will automatically be assigned to the Conclave of the Shanai.
Heavily restricted. Cannot join the
Conclave of Light or the Conclave of Argus.
custom classes
We are not in the business of telling you that your custom view of your character is wrong or bad. We believe that everyone has the right to play what they want, how they want. However, within the context of the Sha’tor, any custom or unique classes that are proposed will be discussed, particularly if they do not follow the Sha’tor’s guidelines (such as fel magic, Old God magic, and necromancy). Again, while we think that you should be able to play what you want, we are also able to deny access to the guild for any unique class that is diametrically opposed to the tenets of the Order.
conclave of light
for the light.
KAR'MISHUN MJORNAE oversees this Conclave, which serves not only as protectors of the Sha'tor, but to all draenei. They are the fighters and healers of the order, dedicated to assist both their people and their comrades in the Alliance. Many achieve this with heavy fortification and mighty weapons, some with serene focus and unyielding faith, and others with arcane might or elemental mastery. They are the anchorites tasked with healing the injured, tending to the sick, and curing the diseased; the shamans and monks who seek to bring harmony and peace to their people; and the vindicators who channel the Light to shield and mend their brethren in the heat of battle. They work to preserve the soul of the Draenei community. Their undying faith in the Light gives them strength to overcome any obstacle and defeat any foe.

conclave of argus
for our people.
Led by CHRONICLER VELORN, this Conclave houses all manner of innovation, archaeology, and information. These are the intellectuals of the Sha'tor: those who would seek the truth of the world; the keepers of draenei history and culture as well as purveyors of the arts; the architects tasked with rebuilding draenei society and maintaining the draenei way of life; the educators guiding the next generation; and the artists, poets, musicians inspiring hope among the people. They work to develop the draenei community through organizing events to bind the order and its allies together. Members of this group seek to reclaim the past of the draenei, and it is their hope to preserve and reclaim as much of their homeworld as possible.

conclave of the shanai
for our future.
Under the mantle of FIRST ANCHORITE ORYNTHIA, the Conclave of the Shanai is a humanitarian group that aims to give back to those that assisted with the reclamation of the universe against the Burning Legion. Most often, individuals in this Conclave have an interest in diplomatic assistance, general outreach, and some research. This section of the Sha'tor also features an ambassador program that allows those outside of the Draenei race to join the group, so long as they have ties to the Draenei people. Those who join this Conclave are expected to embody the Draenei's mission of peace, and most often take a neutral stance in some conflicts, as some missions require collaboration with members of the Horde.

roleplaying & events
Being that the Sha'tor is a roleplaying guild first and foremost, it is the bulk of what we do. That said, there are many types of events in which members may participate. While some of these events are, of course, open only to members of the guild, there is no shortage of opportunity for those interested in interacting with us to do so — and, in fact, it is very much welcomed!
guild-exclusive
guild plot events
weekly, mondays @ 7:00pm (server/cst)
These type of events stay relevant to the current World of Warcraft in-game content. Depending on the content of the storyline, these type of events can range from two weeks to several months. Though the Sha'tor is a Draenei-exclusive order, we still have allies who need our help — so be prepared to travel around the world of Azeroth and beyond! These events often include combat, and members are expected to follow the roll system. The simple principle is that every decision our members make will have consequences and each of our members will have the opportunity to decide the outcome. The point of these types of events are to provide an environment where our members can feel immersed with the current game content as well as feel like their character matters in the universe. Storyline events are a great way for members to express themselves, meet other members, and progress within the guild.
conclave events
weekly, days varying @ 7:00pm (server/cst)
Conclave events are weekly and are alternated according to each of the three. The days on which they are held depend on the individual Conclave leader. These events may just be a simple get-together for the purpose of meeting and becoming more familiar with leaders and fellow members, or they may include a mission requiring the specialized aid of a Conclave's members. Sometimes, these events may also tie in to the current guild plot, and may include collaboration with another Conclave.
mission board
n/a, varies
Although not RP in the traditional, interactive sense, the mission board nonetheless offers an opportunity for characters to utilize abilities they might not otherwise get to, as well as offer a chance for development! These missions are listed in the guild Discord.
public & inclusive
jed'hin
monthly, wednesdays @ 7:00pm (server/cst)
Jed'hin is a fan-created sport that has been adopted into Sha'tor canon and its cultural scene. Matches are hosted monthly, and are open to the public to spectate. In the majority of these matches, only draenei may compete, there are rare instances where non-draenei may be permitted inclusion. Traditionally, it is a male-only sport, but the Sha'tor has altered the rules to allow female participation as well.
casual & non-combat
n/a, anytime
Casual roleplay is the Sha'tor's way of getting everyone together without the need for violence, rolling systems and decision making. Character development doesn't just occur when a character is in combat, after all — meeting new people, growing friendships, and experiencing new things with one another are just a few things that can help as well! While some may be scheduled events (such as parties), members are encouraged to initiate casual RP at any time. Refer to the locales page for common areas to meet!
ally & broader alliance events
n/a, varies
Over time, the Sha'tor has made many friends and established ties with other organizations. We are often invited to attend their events, and members are encouraged to do so not only to represent the Sha'tor and be a presence in the general community, but also to show support for our allies and their efforts. It's a good way for the guild (and its individual members) to foster friendships outside of the draenei community, thus reinforcing our ties and devotion to the Alliance.
All times are subject to change and may not always adhere strictly to the given schedules.

After years of hard work, the draenei have finally converted Azure Watch into a proper town. Gone are the chunks of Exodar wreckage serving as makeshift shelter; in their place, viable buildings have been erected. In addition, what was once a human outpost on the southern shore has been converted into a harbor.
the escape pod
substituted by the lamplighter inn @ wod embaari
What started out as a dilapidated shack cobbled together by the ruins of the Exodar's crash has, over time, evolved into a bustling tavern/inn at the heart of Azure Watch. The owners, Arrei and Hatu'un, work hard to ensure all patrons are adequately accommodated.
the exodar

With all the workable parts stripped and used to construct the Vindicaar, what's left of the Exodar is a semi-subterranean city that still functions the same as it always has. It is most commonly the setting for Jed'hin.
stormwind city

This bustling, coastal city is the capital of the Humans, as well as the primary Alliance capital. It is common for members of the Sha'tor to find themselves traveling to Stormwind for various reasons, whether personal or professional.

The Sha'tor utilizes crystals for communication across long distances. These crystals appear average upon first glance, but are specially enchanted by commissioned arcanists to allow for two-way communication between anyone who is in possession of one.Upon joining the Sha'tor, new members are given a crystal and are encouraged to fashion it in any manner they choose — whether by way of jewelry, grafted into armor, etc. — so that it is easily accessed. They may also choose to keep it as is if that's the bearer's preference! Each crystal attunes itself to its owner upon its first use, and can only be activated (for others to hear) if the speaker directly addresses the person with which they want to speak to. This prevents accidental transmissions and reduces the amount of ambient sounds. In addition to being a communication device, the crystals serve as keys for each member to access the order's data archives as needed. The caveat here is that permissions exist in tiers, and are typically granted by the head of the Conclave of Argus, the members of said Conclave holding a higher access tier than most others. However, all members of the Sha'tor have access to basic information and map data collected by scouts and stored in its own database.Sha'tori who are unable to speak, see, or hear are also accommodated by the commcrystals. The devices are capable of transcribing speech into holographic documents for the hearing-impaired, reading messages aloud to those with visual impairments, and can project a holographic "keyboard" for typing messages, or can be specially attuned for telepathic transmission, for those who cannot speak. In any case, the crystals also support multiple languages and can, in some cases, be used for translation.
For our combat events and skill checks, the Sha'tor uses a roll system based on the d20. It is a standard and fairly simple system, but it does require the player to be aware of the limits of their character.

↑ heroic presence
After two failure rolls (1's only), the player has the option to roll again. The result will be added to the previous roll for a new total.EXAMPLE: Aalesia rolls 1 during her second turn. On her third turn, she rolls another 1. She rolls for Heroic Presence and gets 3, granting her a final roll of 4.This modifier is entirely optional, and is intended as a way to facilitate active participation rather than being continually restricted by low rolls.
↑ commcrystal enhancements
The commcrystals will be upgraded during certain events to allow members special buffs that will aid them during current plotlines and beyond!None at this time.
In the event of a failure or a critical failure, the DM will emote against all characters in that attack round FIRST before successes emote.

25,000+ years bdp
Highly intelligent and possessing an innate gift for magic, the eredar cultivated a society based around art, science, magic, and technology. With their advanced way of life, the eredar and their culture thrived without opposition. All was well until Thal'kiel, leader of an order of magi called the Wakeners, began dabbling in darker magic. He and his devotees soon rejected the arcane in favor of fel, and Thal'kiel's ambition culminated in presenting the eredar's leaders, Kil'jaeden and Velen, with his discoveries. He was denounced and forbidden from continuing what Velen deemed "a failed experiment."Despite this, he and his Wakeners resumed their practice of fel magic, albeit in secret. However, Thal'kiel's apprentice, Archimonde, seemingly did not back his desire to overthrow the Duumvirate, and instead informed Kil'jaeden and Velen of his plan to do so. This warning resulted in the chance for a preemptive strike, and Thal'kiel was beheaded by his own apprentice. The bodies of the defeated Wakeners were burned, and any records of their discoveries were destroyed along with them, lest they fall into the hands of would-be successors. After the defeat of Thal'kiel and his followers, Archimonde rose to leadership alongside Kil'jaeden and Velen, thus forming the Triumvirate. Some time later, the fallen titan Sargeras discovered Argus and the eredar. Determined to put their affinity for magic to his use, he reached out to their leaders, playing into their innate thirst for knowledge and promising them the power necessary to gain it. While the Triumvirate deliberated upon this offer, Velen experienced a vision of what would befall the eredar if the offer was accepted: they would be transformed into hateful, monstrous beings bent on destruction and fueled by chaos. Though he tried to talk the other two out of this grisly fate, they dismissed his vision as mere delusion, and ultimately accepted Sargeras's bargain. In possession of the ata'mal crystal — an artifact left to the eredar in a time ancient even to them — Velen prayed for guidance as to what he should do. He was answered by a naaru named K'ure, who instructed him to gather his followers and gather on the highest mountain on the longest day of the year. Velen did as told, and as he and his people waited to be rescued by the naaru, his beloved brethren who had been corrupted came after them. However, just before they had the chance, the naaru intervened, granting the escaping eredar a vessel known as The Genedar.Seeing Velen's retreat as an act of betrayal, Kil'jaeden vowed to hunt adown and destroy him and his followers, no matter how long it took.
act ii: evasion
between 25,000 & 200 years bdp
Perpetually on the run from the Legion, the draenei never had a true home. They visited countless planets at unspecified times, but were always prompted to flee again and again when the demons ultimately caught up with them.At some point, a small number of draenei from the Genedar split off to follow Xe'ra aboard the Xenedar, eventually becoming Lightforged and serving in the Army of the Light, hunting down the Burning Legion for the next several thousand years.
act iii: draenor
~200 years bdp
Due to the naaru having to utilize their energy to power the Genedar across the cosmos, they eventually grew weakened. Knowing that they were reaching the end of their capacity, they set their sights on a world undiscovered by the Legion, intending to land there and recuperate.Unfortunately, because of her severely weakened state, the naaru K'ara fell to Void and became aggressive toward the other two naaru, K'ure and D'ore. Knowing she was compromised, she insisted she be removed in order to spare the draenei and her fellow naaru from danger. Velen shielded the other two naaru and ejected K'ara from the Genedar, causing her to remain a fixture of Shadowmoon Valley's skies and later become known as the Dark Star.Velen and both naaru were left exhausted from the ordeal. The Prophet could no longer rely on his visions of the future, as they'd been rendered unpredictable as a result of great mental strain. With K'ure and D'ore unable to muster the strength to land the Genedar safely, the vessel crashed; D'ore and several draenei perished in the collision. K'ure, knowing he was on the verge of the same fate as K'ara, urged the draenei to leave the wreckage immediately so they weren't exposed to his impending Void energies. With the Genedar destroyed and thus no way off the new and dangerous planet, Velen established the Rangari to scout the unknown world. With their aid, the draenei were able to tentatively spread across Draenor, tending to stick to areas largely uninhabited by the other races so as not to disturb them, as their presence was a result of circumstance rather than conquest.Other orders were established once Velen realized he could no longer lead his people alone, due to his unreliable visions. Naielle was appointed the leader of the Rangari; Hataaru oversaw the Artificers; Akama commanded the Vindicators; and Othaar led the Sha'tari, who were tasked with studying the recovered remains of D'ore.
195 years bdp
In search of a location upon which to establish a permanent settlement, the Rangari came across an unsettled place by the sea and flanked by mountains. These were the ruins of the destroyed ogre city of Goria, left abandoned for centuries. Here, Shattrath City would be established.Meanwhile, a member of the Sha'tari named Maladaar noticed that the spirits of the draenei killed in the crash were making their way to the remains of D'ore — who had fallen further into his Void state. Additionally, as the spirits merged with the naaru, they were capable of communication with living draenei. This was a new experience for the draenei; nothing of the sort had ever been seen, not even back on Argus!Ordered by Velen to move D'ore's remains elsewhere, Maladaar and some other Sha'tari settled on a spot in Terokkar Forest that was far from other civilizations — both their own, and Draenor's natives. Here, the enormous mausoleum city of Auchindoun was constructed, and D'ore's remains were kept safely within; the spirits of the departed draenei soon followed. For his accomplishments, Maladaar was appointed the fifth in the Council of Exarchs, and led the Auchenai, an order dedicated to protecting and communing with the souls of their dead.

draenei history
180 years bdp
Karabor was established. It would serve as a temple and training grounds for the vindicators & anchorites of the draenei, as well as the place Velen called home.
100 years bdp
The draenei beat back ogres who had dared attack them at Shattrath, attempting to reclaim the ruins of Goria. After experiencing such a massive defeat and the loss of their imperator, the ogres did not attempt another attack again.
99 years bdp
Initially viewing the draenei as harmless, the orcs began seeing them as formidable, suspicious, or cowardly following the defeat of the ogres. The majority of orc clans opted to simply keep their distance from the draenei, since the latter had never provoked aggression on the former. The Bladewind clan, however, utilized territorial advantage; being settled between Terokkar Forest and Nagrand, they knew where and when draenei traders traveled between the two areas. With this knowledge, they attacked caravans and took prisoners.Though the addition of Vindicator troops to guard future caravans lessened these attacks, and despite the Rangari managing to rescue many of the prisoners taken, others yet remained. These prisoners were made slaves by the Bladewind orcs, and some became the parents of half-breed children, which were treated as outcasts by both orcs and draenei.
13-11 years bdp
Orgrim Doomhammer and Durotan were rescued by draenei and meet Velen in Telmor. Inadvertently, they learn how to disable the shields protecting the town, something that would have devastating consequences for the draenei later on.Some time later, Talgath found the draenei on Draenor, having spent a century searching for them after sensing the holy magic thrown out into the Twisting Nether upon the Genedar's crash. His discovery was relayed to Kil'jaeden, who wanted to destroy the draenei... but ultimately decided to play the long game. He had Talgath keep an eye on not only the draenei, but the orcs.
10 years bdp
Kil'jaeden, after gaining further information about the orcs from Talgath, decides to corrupt them and use them as a weapon against the draenei. His first tool in this grand plan was Gul'dan, an orc exiled by his clan for having been born with physical deformities and desperately seeking purpose. Gul'dan was an easy sell, eager to get back at those who had ostracized him.
8 years bdp
Gul'dan incited conflict between the orcs and draenei by telling the Bladewind clan — decimated by the red pox, starving, and desperate for relief — that the draenei were responsible for the disease that had ravaged them, and that the elemental spirits could be appeased by the orcs killing the draenei. The orcs started attacking caravans and taking prisoners more than they had before. One of the prisoners was Vindicator Maraad's sister, and this spurred him to action. Ultimately, Vindicators and Rangari were sent to resolve the issue, but upon seeing his sister dead by the Bladewind orcs' rituals, Maraad attacked the orcs viciously. Any who survived were killed by Gul'dan so that no one could know the truth, thus making it look as though the draenei had made the first strike, thus cementing collective distrust and hatred against them among the orcs.Meanwhile, Kil'jaeden began speaking to Ner'zhul and other shamans as venerated ancestors, convincing them to make war on the draenei and slaughter every last one.
7 years bdp
With the increasing violence against his people, Velen attempted diplomacy, thinking it was the elemental unease that was making the orcs do as they were. However, after the Rangari reported that the clans were uniting, Velen decided instead that the draenei would have to go on the defensive. All this time, he was unaware of the true influence of the Legion — though he considered it, there was no solid evidence to prove it.
4 years bdp
The recently appointed Warchief Blackhand began attacking the draenei with fervor, causing the draenei to become demoralized. It was then that they began to realize with immense dread that the orcs had cast their lot with the Legion.Given that they had no way to escape Draenor, their only choice was to continue trying to push back against the Horde. However, protecting the smaller settlements was impossible, and they focused on protecting their two main cities, Shattrath and Karabor. Eventually the Horde would make their way to Shadowmoon Valley, intent on conquering Karabor. They were met with strong opposition from the draenei, and the draenei were on the precipice of beating them back.Their hopes for victory were shattered when Gul'dan called down the power of the Dark Star — the void-tainted remains of K'ara — upon Karabor. Many of the draenei forces were killed immediately, while others were driven mad by the void magic unleashed upon them. Velen and a small number of survivors managed to escape, but the city was lost, irrevocably darkened and corrupted into what would become known as the Black Temple.
3 years bdp
Shattrath was all that the draenei had left, and it was there that they made their last stand when the Horde ultimately arrived. Velen decided that the civilians were to be evacuated, but the military would remain in the city. Though he originally intended to stand by them, he was convinced to escape with the other refugees so that the draenei race had any chance of surviving. He and the evacuees sought refuge in Telredor.Though the draenei gave their all, they knew it was a losing battle... and in the end, the city did in fact fall. The nail in the coffin was the use of the "red mist," a combination of the red pox disease and the magic of warlocks, loaded into bombs and fired against the defenders of Shattrath. Some managed to survive, however, and stole away to Auchindoun. Exarch Maladaar led the defense, and with the combined effort of the draenei and the spirits of their ancestors residing in Auchindoun, they kept Teron'gor and his allies at bay.Once again, however, victory eluded the draenei — this time as a result of Teron'gor and his warlocks summoning an elemental being called Murmur into Auchindoun. Its arrival shattered the holy temple and killed many of its occupants in the process. In addition, its shockwaves leveled the surrounding forest, which later came to be known as the Bone Wastes.

With the loss of Karabor, Shattrath, and finally Auchindoun, the draenei were all but annihilated. Their population was a fraction of what it once had been, their culture largely erased, and refugees once again. Telredor became their last bastion, and thanks to the artificers, it was shielded from the Horde.Survivors of Shattrath slowly made their way to the temple, and some of them — including the vindicators Nobundo and Akama — began showing signs of the sickness brought on by the red mist used against them at Shattrath. Their bodies shriveled and their connection to the Light lost. Fearing their condition was contagious, the refugees forced them out of Telredor, even despite Velen urging acceptance. The Krokul ("broken") were left to survive on their own in the wilderness. Some further devolved into "Lost Ones," which were deemed beyond redemption. Some draenei who had survived but hadn't gone to Telredor began establishing hidden outposts across Draenor, to which Velen traveled from time to time to aid his people. It was around this time that the Zangar Sea began to dry up due to the fel energy taking hold of the world, and transformed into the swamp lands later known as Zangarmarsh.

between 10 and 25 years ago*
Thanks to Ner'zhul attempting to open multiple portals at once, the already dying world of Draenor is sundered irreparably and becomes known as Outland. At some point, the naaru led by A'dal arrived to Outland aboard Tempest Keep, a large vessel with four satellite structures.Blood elves under the command of Kael'thas gained control of the Exodar, one of Tempest Keep's satellites. Velen led a portion of draenei in a raid to retake it.
act iv: azeroth
approximately 10 years ago*
Though the draenei were victorious in reclaiming the Exodar, their celebration would not last long. With the aid of the traitor Sironas, the blood elves were able to sabotage the engines that allowed the Exodar to warp through the Twisting Nether. This resulted in a malfunction, and the vessel plummeted toward the closest planet: Azeroth. Reminiscent of the Genedar's fate, the Exodar crashed and was left entirely disabled. Its impact was witnessed by nearby night elves of Teldrassil, and its wreckage spanned miles upon miles. The night elves investigated Azuremyst and found the draenei not to be a threat, eventually making contact with them and leading them to join the Alliance.

prominent locations
argus
The original homeworld of the draenei/eredar. At its height, it was a peaceful world with a wide variety of landscapes and remarkable cities, and it is still remembered fondly by draenei who once lived there. It has since become a fel-twisted mockery of what it once was, and serves as the Burning Legion's primary base of operations.
auchenai
Guardians of Auchindoun and the spirits that came to reside there. The order was founded after a researcher named Maladaar found that the souls of draenei killed in the Genedar's crash were drawn to the remains of D'ore, one of the three naaru that had helped the draenei escape Argus. The Auchenai — of which Maladaar ultimately became the leader — comprised mostly of priests, but vindicators and arcanists served to bolster their defenses. After the destruction of Auchindoun, however, most of the once benevolent priesthood fell to darkness and adopted necromancy instead of the holy rites they once knew. However, there remains a small pocket of faithful soulpriests that carry on their holy work.
auchindoun
❝a home for the honored dead❞
A sprawling mausoleum and sacred temple city erected to house the remains of D'ore, a naaru that "died" when the Genedar crashed onto Draenor and became darkened by the Void as a result. In addition to being the resting place of D'ore, Auchindoun shielded the souls of departed draenei, keeping them safe from the Burning Legion.Tragedy befell the temple during the orcish assault on the draenei, and it was ultimately rocked by an explosion that shattered the structure, ruined the surrounding landscape, and led to the insanity of many who had taken refuge in its halls.
draenor
❝exiles' refuge❞
A primitive world the draenei crashed upon roughly two centuries prior to Azeroth's First War. It was home to several sentient and intelligent species, most notably the orcs, ogres, and arakkoa. Stranded by the crash that destroyed the Genedar, the draenei named the world Draenor, meaning "Exiles' Refuge" in their language. While the ogres and arakkoa had their own names for the planet — Dawgar ("the Known Earth") and Rakshar ("the Sunstone"), respectively — the orcs did not, and eventually adopted the name "Draenor."
eredath
The grandest and most sacred of cities in the golden days of Argus and the Eredar. Those who are old enough to remember it speak of it with great fondness and reverence, as well as grief. The Triumvirate of Argus resided there, and it was where Sargeras first made contact with the Eredar. At present, it remains mostly intact, and given how far its shattered remnants stretch on, it's clear that the stories of its grandiosity are by no means exaggerated.
exodar
A naaru vessel originating as a satellite of the dimensional fortress Tempest Keep. After A'dal and other naaru came to Outland and set out to survey the damage, the fortress was captured by Kael'thas Sunstrider, and subsequently reclaimed by the draenei as led by Prophet Velen and Farseer Nobundo. The intent was to escape Outland aboard the Exodar and find a new world to inhabit, but this plan was shattered when stowaway blood elves sabotaged the ship's dimensional engines, causing it to crash into a mountainside on Azuremyst Isle. After regrouping, the draenei began to settle the isles, and established the intact remains of the Exodar as their capital.
↳ IMPORTANT NOTE: No adult draenei currently living were born on the Exodar. It was used only briefly before crashing, and has only been upon Azeroth for about a decade.
genedar
A naaru-created dimensional fortress that was used by the draenei to escape Argus. It later crashed upon a world the draenei came to call Draenor, and was damaged beyond repair. The orcs of Draenor named its wreckage "Oshu'gun," meaning "mountain of spirits" in their language, and adopted it as a cultural holy site over the course of generations.
karabor
Built on the far east edge of Shadowmoon Valley, the temple city of Karabor was regarded as one of the draenei's holiest sites. It was here that Prophet Velen made his primary residence, and it served as both a base and institution for aspiring anchorites and vindicators.During the Horde's assault on Draenor, Karabor was conquered by the Shadow Council, darkened by the Void they unleashed upon it. Because of this, it became known as the Black Temple, and would later serve as Illidan Stormrage's stronghold.
outland
The name given to Draenor after it was torn apart by Ner'zhul opening multiple portals. It is one large landmass floating freely in the Twisting Nether, and is said to be continuously breaking down over time. The Kurenai faction of krokul reside here, and a handful of draenei settlements either remain or have since been erected.
shattrath city
❝dwelling of light❞
Formerly the capital city of the draenei, situated in Talador (later Terokkar Forest). It was a coastal city built upon the ruins of Goria, the defunct ogre capital; for this reason, the ogres of Highmaul attempted a war on the draenei. However, the draenei beat them back almost effortlessly and were never bothered by them again.Unfortunately, Shattrath fell several decades later when the Horde first formed and massacred the draenei via Kil'jaeden's manipulation. The draenei that survived gathered in Shattrath to make their final stand, but were decimated. After several years, however, the draenei managed to reclaim their ruined city and began rebuilding. It served as a stronghold for Alliance and Horde forces during the Burning Legion's invasion of Outland.
vindicaar
A dimensional ship built by the draenei of Azuremyst as a means to get to Argus to finally face the Burning Legion on their home turf. Currently controlled by the Lightforged draenei.
xenedar
A vessel like the Genedar, used by the Lightforged and the Army of Light. It was struck and crashed upon Argus during the Legion's third invasion of Azeroth, rendering it useless. The Lightforged would later utilize the Vindicaar in its stead.

naaru
Enigmatic beings of pure Light that are the sworn enemies of the Burning Legion and are diametrically opposed to the Void. They are also the allies and saviors of the draenei, and command the Army of the Light. Many draenei revere them as divine beings. Interestingly, when damaged, naaru can enter a "darkened" state, in which they emit Void energy. While regeneration and returning to Light is possible, some degrade so far they become void gods.

the eredar family tree
The eredar are a species native to Argus. Over time, they have split into several subspecies. This page covers all the known members of this lineage.
eredar
The species from which both the draenei⁽¹⁾ we know and demonic man'ari eredar are derived. Originating from Argus, the eredar rose to prominence as extraordinarily gifted sorcerers, and possessed an insatiable hunger for knowledge. This desire would lead to the splintering of their society, the majority siding with Sargeras and his Burning Legion, while a small fraction followed Velen and evaded demonic corruption.
⁽ ¹ ⁾ — All draenei are eredar, but not all eredar are draenei.
draenei
❝exiled ones❞
A faction of uncorrupted eredar led by and loyal to Prophet Velen. Long ago, those who rejected the offer of "power" from Sargeras were forced to flee Argus and fall into exile, thereby gaining their current name. Their culture is based primarily around the Light, but they also cling to their heritage as highly-skilled arcanists. They may technically called "draenic eredar" considering their species hasn't changed, while their affiliation has, but the majority seem content with simply calling themselves draenei, as the word "eredar" has developed a negative connotation. However, it's entirely possible some draenei, particularly older generations, still call themselves eredar as an act of defiance against their corrupted brethren, or to reclaim their identity.
man'ari
❝unnatural beings❞
The eredar that sided with Sargeras after Archimonde and Kil'jaeden accepted his bargain. They became twisted by the fel magic they embraced and became demonic. "Man'ari" is a word the draenei use to describe their demonic brethren. Its meaning roughly translates to "unnatural [beings]" and is a term of revulsion. While their technical name would be "man'ari eredar," simply the word "eredar" has evolved to become virtually synonymous with these demons.Aside from the most common variations of man'ari — who don't look too different from their draenic cousins, save for their red or gray skin and fel-influenced alterations — there are other subspecies: wrathguards, who often serve as the Legion's front-line soldiers; brutes, hulking warriors who are the result of experimental augmentation; and doommaidens, winged man'ari who, as their name would suggest, appear to be exclusively female.
lightforged
The Lightforged were originally draenei who fled Argus aboard the Genedar, but separated from their brethren aboard the Xenedar. Under the lead of the naaru Xe'ra, they were infused with the Holy Light and went to battle against the Burning Legion as part of the Army of Light.Following the defeat of the Burning Legion, they aligned themselves with the Alliance and its cause. Additionally, new recruits among Velen's draenei are being sought, and have chosen to undergo the ritual to become Lightforged.
krokul
❝broken❞
Once proud, strong draenei, the krokul are the result of mutation by fel magic. Many krokul are victims/survivors of the assault on Shattrath, wherein bombs of "red mist"—fel mixed with a strain of a magical disease called "red pox"—were unleashed upon the draenei making their last stand in their capital city. Those affected were cut off from the Light, and eventually devolved into misshapen creatures that were reviled and feared by their healthy brethren. As a result, many banded together while in hiding, forming tribes and establishing settlements. There are small colonies of krokul on Outland, as well as Azeroth, most notably the Harborage in the Swamp of Sorrows. Some more unfortunate krokul devolve further into Lost Ones, which are largely feral in nature.A subset of krokul were later discovered on Argus as well; apparently, not every eredar left behind on Argus followed Sargeras. Some took to hiding away in the most remote corners of the world while the Legion made it its primary base of operation. Presumably, as a result of the fel energies seeping into the planet and corrupting it, the renegade eredar mutated into krokul similarly to how their cousins on Draenor had.
lost ones
Some of the Krokul from Draenor further degraded while surviving out in the wilds. They became known as "Lost Ones," creatures who had lost most if not all of their sanity, and became vicious and violent. Like their Broken cousins, they managed to congregate into various tribes scattered throughout parts of Azeroth and Outland.
the penitent
A faction of man'ari eredar, led by Arzaal, who seek to make amends and reintegrate into larger eredar society.

suggested addons
Here is a list of RP-related addons commonly used by members of the guild. Click their name to go to their download page!
One of the most popular roleplay profile addons, and the latest installment in the Total RP series. Unless you're using it already or have a lot of time to figure it out, it may be best left for advanced roleplayers! There are a lot of different features and fields to fill out, allowing you to flesh out as much of your character as you want!
+PROS Widely used; capability for expansive character information; many helpful and convenient features; well-supported
-CONS Large addon memory; potentially overwhelming; sometimes incompatible with other RP profile addons (for viewing)
Though rolled out not long after TRP3, XRP is one of the newest profile addons. It is very similar to the popular MRP and its predecessors, but offers a bit more character customization. XRP is ideal for beginner roleplayers or those who don't need or want all the extras TRP3 offers.
+PROS Lightweight; simple to use; allows for basic character information
-CONS Sometimes incompatible with other profile addons; update/maintenance seems sporadic; not as popular as TRP3
These addons are the solution for that annoying character limit in WoW's chat entry field. Type to your heart's content without having to worry about splitting posts or pausing between continuations!NOTE: These are two different addons that do the same thing, and only one can be installed/active at a time!
+PROS Allows longer posts without interruptions; requires no configuration
-CONS Can cause a lot of scroll; doesn't cover bnet whisper character limits; sometimes experiences errors
A life-saver in large events and group RP. It makes a sound when someone mentions you, or when someone you have targeted speaks. Additionally, you can mouse over others to see what they've posted, so long as they've been within your range.
+PROS It does everything it says it does
-CONS Creates new dialog boxes that can be seen as clutter by more organization-minded folks (but these are somewhat optional)
Just like the name suggests, this addon aids in spelling words that you may be unsure about.
+PROS Helps to correct spelling (obviously); has multiple language options
-CONS Sometimes gives other spellings instead of what you're actually looking for
With the divide between Horde and Alliance growing smaller with each expansion (thank the Light), cross-faction RP is becoming increasingly more popular. Thankfully, there's Cross RP to help facilitate those ventures! With this addon, you can see the profiles of members on the other faction, which takes the guesswork out of how to approach.
+PROS Literally the whole thing
-CONS Requires you to be Battle.net friends with someone in order to whisper them cross-faction
Transmogrification was a game-changer for many players, but MogIt made it even more appealing. With this addon, you can create that perfect transmog for your character and see how it looks before going out to get the pieces you need. Although Blizzard recently added a similar feature to the base game, MogIt is still unparalleled when it comes to in-depth customization for non-transmog/RP-only outfits, as well as the ability to share sets and retrieve/view your creations on your other characters.
+PROS Outfits consisting of different armor classes can be created; outfits can be linked to other players with the addon; sets save in profiles
-CONS Large addon memory
I, the person writing this guide, have ZERO experience with Narcissus, but I do know it's fairly popular. By the sound of it, it works kind of like Final Fantasy XIV's group pose? There's a photo mode that especially seems like it works somewhat similarly to /gpose. The addon page will definitely be able to tell you way more than I can!
+PROS Looks like it could be cool
-CONS Looks like it's complicated
It does exactly what it says.
+PROS Lets you see who is tying (as long as they also have the addon)
-CONS Buggy, but the dev does their best

recruitment process
new applicants
Even if we have been approached in-game and interest in joining has been expressed, all applicants are required to submit an application for membership, along with undergoing an in-character interview. Both the application and interview allow us to get an idea of who a character is and determine whether the Sha'tor will be a good fit for them. The process also lets us get to know the person behind the character a little bit.Officers will always make an effort to acknowledge that we have received and seen your application. Additionally, we may also suggest corrections to errors in the application, or ask you to reach out to us in-game to discuss any issues so they can be worked through in a more direct and flexible way.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ON YOUR APPLICATION FOR NEW COMMENTS AND WHETHER YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED OR DECLINED.
After the application has been reviewed by the officers, you will receive an in-character letter from one of the Sha'tor's leaders asking to meet for the interview. Arranging the meeting is the responsibility of the applicant; to do so, whisper/ask for an officer when you are ready, or to set a time. Interviews are conducted by the Exarch, a member of the Triumvirate, or a representative thereof (or any combination of these), and last an hour on average. The interview is typically when the final decision is made. If you are denied membership into the guild (which is actually pretty rare) following this interview — or your application is declined before the interview even happens (again, rare) — your interest in our guild is still appreciated, and we wish you luck in finding the right home! You are also welcome to continue interacting with us — unless, of course, you were rejected for being a jerk!If we have gotten no response either on the application or in-game within or after two weeks, we will close your application. However, you are free to reapply or message us to request your application be reopened.
returning members
If you have been out of the guild for 90 days (3 months) or longer, you will be required to submit a new application. A follow-up interview is at the discretion of the officers. If you are returning within the 90 day period, you may be invited back after speaking with an officer. You will be placed at the Crystalsworn rank, regardless of your previous rank and progression prior to your departure.
before applying
✤ Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (OOC), as this is a guild comprised of adults.✤ We strongly encourage you to thoroughly read through the guild policy and guild structure pages. This information is there to help you as an aspiring applicant to get a feel for the guild and what to expect upon joining.✤ Although the Sha'tor is a draenei-based guild consisting almost exclusively of draenei, members of other races are among the order's ranks, and aspiring non-draenei applicants may be considered. However, please know and take into consideration that they are only permitted to join the Conclave of the Shanai and are ineligible for the other Conclaves.✤ Your character must be at least level 20 to join. The purpose behind this restriction is to demonstrate some measure of commitment to the character.✤ Please have an idea of who your character is! Vague or incomplete concepts are very hard for us to work with, as they don't give us much to go on when reviewing your application, let alone conducting the in-character interview.✤ Be aware that the Sha'tor is a lore-abiding guild, which means we adhere to Warcraft universe canon. If there is a conflict with your character because of known and established lore and timelines — for example, a 3,000-year-old draenei born on the Exodar, or a character that became a shaman before Nobundo introduced the practice — you will likely be asked to adjust it. In very rare instances, some concepts may be permitted after careful consideration.✤ In addition to the above, if you are new to roleplaying draenei, you are encouraged to read through the lore compendium (WIP) for help, or ask an officer/member.✤ Realize that the officers reserve the right to reject your application, although this is uncommon and usually quite circumstantial. If your application is declined, you will be informed of the reason(s) why.✤ Please be patient! We may take a few days to get together and look over your application, but do trust that we will remain in contact with you as we move forward!
Got it? Good! Ready to take the next step forward?
